Soundsuite's music production team, Jamie Clarkston-Collins and Eli Schurder, chatted about the soundtracks for some popular Netflix shows including Better Call Saul, The Witcher and Stranger Things. Watch the video above or read the transcript below.

Jamie: So Eli, we watched a couple of Netflix shows and listened to the soundtracks. The first one we chose was 'Better Call Saul', which is one of my favorite shows. The theme is only about 11 seconds long. It's twangy guitars, it's got a country flavor to it, and it cuts off in the middle of nowhere. It's the only piece of music that I've ever heard on any show that does that. It's totally unique, and that's what we try to do, we try to do something different when we're writing a soundtrack. We try to think outside the box, but we also try to keep it in the realms of what we're watching.

Eli: The second movie that we watched was 'The Witcher'. It's based off the video game and a lot of people are enjoying this as a new TV series. The music is very renaissance and periodic. There are a lot of instruments used back in those days such as lutes or zivers or different harps.

Jamie: Yes, a zen harp or something like that. It's kind of ethnic with a little bit of orchestral built in.

Eli: Also there is a bit of horror. I hear waterphonics built in with some tension strings put in the right place. Another TV series which I enjoy a lot is 'Stranger Things'.

Jamie: I enjoyed that too and I thought the music was really good. Again we heard waterphonics and kept it scary and horror. The soundtrack really fitted what we were watching.

Eli: It made me very nostalgic for the 80s which I really love.

Jamie: Well we love doing soundtracks, being creative and unique in what we do. So if you guys ever want a soundtrack, please be in touch with us. We'll see you in a couple of weeks or so, maybe even less, take care.
